The Stein Group Signs Agreement To Manage The Port Palace Hotel In Monte-Carlo, Monaco

MONTE-CARLO, Monaco, June 15, 2005. The Stein Group is delighted to announce that it has signed an agreement with the owners of the Monte-Carlo Port Palace Hotel to manage this exceptional property located in the heart of the Principality of Monaco

The contract was signed on 2nd June 2005 in Monte-Carlo by Mr. David Stein, CEO of The Stein Group and Mr. Lotfi Maktouf, CEO of MDL Exploitations and owner of the Port Palace Hotel.

The operations of the Port Palace Hotel will be closely supervised by Mr.Thierry Naidu, The Stein Group's Corporate Operations Manager. Mr. Naidu is well known and respected in the French Riviera region given his former involvement as General Manager of the Ch^ateau de la Ch`evre d'Or in Eze and Vice President of the organisation Palaces of the C^ote d'Azur.

The Port Palace Hotel is The Stein Group's second property in the French Riviera after the award-winning hotel Ch^ateau Eza in Eze.

The hotel was inaugurated by HSH Prince Albert and opened to the public on 15th September 2003. It was the first luxury 'Palace' hotel to open in the Principality of Monaco in over a century and the first hotel to open in the Principality for over twenty years. It is situated in the prime location of Monte-Carlo overlooking the Marina. The hotel has been constructed and furnished to the ultimate standards of luxury and refinement in close collaboration with the world-renowned designer Leila Menchari, Chief Designer at Herm`es.

The Port Palace Hotel is located on the Grand Prix Formula One circuit, a source of huge exposure and importance to the principality of Monaco. The hotel has 50 suites on five floors with a panoramic gastronomic restaurant situated on the sixth floor. A Spa and Fitness Centre offers exceptional services in partnership with one of the world's leading brand of spa treatments Shiseido's Cl'e de Peau Beaut'e.

The Stein Group was formed by David Stein in 2001 and is considered the pan-European leader in luxurious small hotels. Currently The Stein Group has seven luxury hotels in five European countries: Gran Hotel Son Net in Mallorca, Gran Hotel La Florida in Barcelona, Durley House in London, Brownes in Dublin, The Dylan (formerly Blakes) and the new College Hotel in Amsterdam and Ch^ateau Eza on the French Riviera.

The Port Palace Hotel in Monaco will bring The Stein Group's total number of properties to ten in six European countries and will establish a strategic synergy in the French Riviera region, together with Ch^ateau Eza.
