Twelve hundred acres of the Cle Elum River corridor that run through Suncadia are protected by the Kittitas Conservation Trust and the Suncadia Conservancy. Over 40 miles of walking and biking trails are being constructed throughout Suncadia. Additional recreational activities include swimming, golfing, and hiking. Winter activities include snowshoeing and cross country skiing with nearby access to downhill skiing, dog sledding and snowmobiling.

Suncadia is owned by subsidiaries of JELD-WEN, Inc., PacTrust and Lowe Enterprises, Inc., the parent company of Lowe Destination Development and Destination Hotels & Resorts, and is operated by a subsidiary of Lowe Enterprises, Inc. The resort community was conceived by Klamath Falls-based JELD-WEN, Inc., the world's leading maker of premium-quality, energy-efficient windows, doors and millwork.

It is a fully integrated real estate entity with site selection, design, construction, leasing and property management capabilities.

JELD-WEN joined with LA-based Lowe Enterprises to form Suncadia, LLC, which is planning, building and managing the project.
