The First TWELVE Hotel Planning Many High-technology Options

. October 14, 2008

ATLANTA, GA, December 1, 2005. TWELVE Hotels and Residences ("TWELVE") announced details today of the diverse and innovative technology that will be available to guests of this new hotel flag. The suite of high-technology options, which includes a virtual art gallery, energy management system and in-room desktop application that allows guests to manage their hotel stay online, is a signature feature of TWELVE, which combines upscale, urban condominiums with a 101-suite boutique hotel. The first TWELVE Hotel opens in February 2006 in the Atlantic Station(R) redevelopment in midtown Atlanta.

"A primary target market for TWELVE Hotels is 24- to 45-year-old travelers or any traveler who requires a robust technological infrastructure to assist business needs or enhance leisure travel," said Jim Veil, President of TWELVE Hotels and Residences. "We will be able to meet those needs, while also delivering the comforts of traditional hotel services."

The backbone of TWELVE Hotel's technological services is a system known as GHOSTSM (Guest Hotel Operating System Terminal), an in-room application that allows guests to request various services online. The depth of this infrastructure allows guests to customize their service level to their own preference on a continuum from high touch to high tech. Using the flat-screen monitor and keyboard that are standard in every TWELVE hotel suite, guests can order room service, make specific housekeeping requests (additional bath linens, sewing kit, toiletry items, etc.), contact the concierge, request their car from the valet, order laundry/dry cleaning, and much more-all without picking up the phone. Of course, if they prefer to deal with a human voice and presence, highly-trained TWELVE Hotel staff are readily available to answer any call - it's the guest's choice how and when to use technology.

GHOST also gives guests access to a broad range of information, serving as a portal to their favorite Internet browser. If they prefer, they can also use their own laptops by plugging into TWELVE's free ultra-high-speed Internet connection or using the wireless Internet access that is available in every suite and throughout the hotel.

TWELVE Hotel's high-tech features do not stop online. Suites are equipped with a voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) telephone system and two flat-panel televisions-one in the living area and one in the bedroom-both with High-Definition IPTV. Movies on demand will also be available, with hundreds of titles in the catalog.

Every suite features an energy-management system designed to ensure guests' comfort. The system can distinguish when the suite is empty and when it is occupied. Guest-selected temperatures are maintained while guests are present, but when they leave, efficient adjustments to the system can be made.

In the lobby, TWELVE's high-tech features will be evident from the moment guests arrive. A touch-screen monitor, similar to those used by airlines, enables guests to check themselves in using a personal credit card and receive their key card instructions without stopping at the reception desk. Finally, TWELVE's virtual art gallery, featuring works of art from local galleries, will be digitally displayed on flat-screen monitors that line the lobby walls.

Guests will experience all of these technological innovations while enjoying a hotel stay in an upscale urban condominium setting.
