Kor Teams with Related Group on Miami Project
MIAMI, FL, December 1, 2005. Kor Hotel Group has entered into a joint venture with developer Jorge Perez and his Florida-based The Related Group to develop a new hotel-residence project here. The architecture firm Arquitectonica and designer Philippe Starck also will be involved in the project, which will be called the Viceroy Icon Brickell.
Located on Biscayne Bay adjacent to Brickell Park, the Viceroy Icon Brickell will have three towers ranging from 50 to 60 stories and 1,774 units.
One tower will house a hotel and the other two towers will have residential condominiums. All residents and hotel guests will share access to Icon Brickell's amenities, including a 20,000-square-foot spa and Philippe Starck-designed swimming pools on the 15th floor outdoor podium. A restaurant also will be located on the 15th floor.
Ground-up construction of Viceroy Icon Brickell is scheduled for completion in late 2008.
