WHITE PLAINS, NY, April 20, 2009 - Starwood Hotel & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) and RJ York announce plans to open a newly constructed Westin hotel in Clayton, Missouri, an affluent suburb just west of St. Louis. Construction on the 245-room hotel will start in early 2010 with an opening scheduled for June of 2012. In addition to its heavenly inspired guest rooms, The Westin Clayton will offer upscale dining, ample meeting facilities and the full suite of Westin signature amenities and services.

Conveniently positioned at the corner of Maryland Avenue and Central Avenue in the heart of Clayton's business district, The Westin Clayton will be highly visible from downtown Clayton and from I-64 and I-170. The hotel will provide easy access to a variety of boutiques, bars, restaurants, as well as the corporate offices of several Fortune 500 companies. Approximately 15 minutes from both downtown St. Louis and Lambert St. Louis International Airport, The Westin Clayton will be just three blocks from the St. Louis County Government Center and one mile from the St. Louis Galleria Mall. Washington University in St. Louis, Busch Stadium and Anheuser Busch Brewery are all within close proximity.
