Marriott CEO Celebrates Opening of Residence Inn by Marriott at Mayo Clinic

MARCH 30, 2009 - J.W. 'Bill' Marriott, Jr., chairman and CEO, Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) and member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees, celebrated the grand opening of the 208-suite Residence Inn by Marriott situated on the Phoenix Campus of Mayo Clinic.

The hotel is a part of the Village at Mayo Clinic - a collaboration between the Mayo Clinic, Arizona Transplant House and the American Cancer Society to better serve and provide options for transplant and cancer patients undergoing treatment. Hotel owner Robert Finvarb of the Finvarb Companies, LLC, presented a check to the Mayo Clinic in honor of their newly created partnership.
