Mazatlan Holds 11th Annual Gran Fiesta Travel Event

Destination To Honor Travel Partners, Nov. 3-6

MAZATL'AN, Mexico (Oct. 10, 2005) Mazatl'an will hold its 11th annual Gran Fiesta Amigos de Mazatl'an, Nov. 3-6, honoring key travel partners, including wholesalers, tour operators, airlines and incentive companies, for their support in selling Mazatl'an as a destination.

Hosted by the destination of Mazatl'an, the Mazatl'an Hotel Association and the State of Sinaloa, Fiesta Amigos gives travel industry guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the city's golden beaches and rich cultural heritage. This year's activities include a welcome dinner at the Mazatl'an Arts Museum in the Historic District and dinner the following night hosted by Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. A luncheon celebration will provide entertainment with music and dancing at Los Osuna Winery and tequila plantation hacienda. La Concha, an El Cid Resorts restaurant, will host the Farewell Dinner and Golden Deer Awards Ceremony. Guests also are invited to participate in the 11th annual Fiesta Amigos Golf Tournament at Estrella del Mar, an 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones.

Often referred to as the Pearl of the Pacific, Mazatl'an, or "Land of the Deer," Mazatl'an is located on the Pacific Ocean in the state of Sinaloa.
