DALLAS, TX, August 21, 2008. Young Yoon has been promoted to the position of Director of Operations for the Warwick Melrose Hotel in Dallas. His responsibilities include managing operational departments, guest services, the front office, security, valet and service standards for the hotel.

Yoon joined the hotel in March, 2005. He has held management positions in the front office and housekeeping departments, and most recently, he was Business Travel Sales Manager. Yoon was named Manager of the Year for the Warwick Melrose Hotel in 2006.

Before joining The Warwick Melrose Hotel, Yoon worked at Sheraton and Renaissance Hotels in Dallas, as well as at the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott in Seoul, Korea. He gained experience encompassing sales, marketing and catering. He was educated at the Ceasar Ritz College in Brig Switzerland, an institution that specializes in hotel management. While there, he was a participant in Eurochrie, an international organization supporting education and training for the hospitality industry.

"Warwick International Hotels' president Richard Chiu feels that Dallas is a gateway city, and he envisions a heightened international profile for the Warwick Melrose," said Larry McAfee, general manager for the hotel. "Yoon's international background, combined with his breadth of knowledge of hotel operations, will be vital in helping us truly deliver on that."

"I may be partial, but I think the people I work with at the Warwick Melrose are world-class, and I truly enjoy our guests every day," said Yoon. "I'm looking forward to working with this management team to chart new levels of success."

Located just a few minutes from downtown Dallas, The Warwick Melrose Hotel is a perfect mix of character, charm and modern luxury. The Four-Diamond AAA hotel first opened in 1924 and was named a Dallas historic landmark in 1983. It offers 184 luxury guest rooms, approximately 6400 square feet of banquet and meeting space, and gourmet dining and relaxation at The Landmark Restaurant and The Library Bar.
