Dorchester Collection Names Roland Fasel General Manager of The Dorchester

JULY 15, 2008. The Dorchester Collection announces the appointment of Roland Fasel as General Manager of The Dorchester. In his new role Fasel will be responsible for managing the 250 room hotel, and overseeing a team of approximately 600 employees. He will also take on the role of UK Regional Director for the Dorchester Collection, which currently owns the The Dorchester in London, Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, the H^otel Plaza Ath'en'ee and Le Meurice in Paris and the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan.

Fasel, age 46, joins The Dorchester from the InterContinental London Park Lane where he has been General Manager for the past four years. During his 23 year career he has worked at some of the most prestigious properties in the world including Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz when it was part of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and spent five years with the Shangri-La Group.

Fasel will take over for Christopher Cowdray in mid-September 2008. Speaking about his new position Fasel said: 'This is a dream come true to manage such an iconic hotel as The Dorchester.
