Robert J. Micklash Joins Extended Stay Hotels

JULY 7, 2008. Extended Stay Hotels, the largest owner and operator of mid-priced extended-stay hotels in North America, today announced that it has expanded its senior management team with the appointment of Robert J. Micklash as Chief Operating Officer. Micklash will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Extended Stay Hotels as well as oversight of corporate support departments.

Micklash joins Extended Stay Hotels following 11 years at Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company, a hotel management and development group based in Raleigh, N.C, where he most recently served at COO. During his time there, Micklash helped to more than triple the number of hotels in the company's portfolio. Previous to that, Micklash held senior management positions at Marriott International and Residence Inn Company.

Micklash received a bachelor of arts degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.
