. October 14, 2008

JUNE 30, 2008. With the arrival of Save the Queen, LLC and Hostmark Hospitality Group, the Queen Mary is experiencing exciting changes and upgrades to the property and hotel rooms. The most recent change shows the hotel's dedication to the health, safety and well-being of its guests with the installation of Protect-a-Bed's throughout the property. These top-of-the-line accessories are leading edge and will ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms and accommodations.

"We are thrilled to have Protect-a-Bed products in the Queen Mary Hotel! With the busy hotel season upon us, this addition is a great way to help preserve the mattresses and assure our guests that first class service means first class hygiene," says Executive Housekeeper Rudy Trabanino.

"I am proud to offer our guests the safest and most sanitary bed in the entire city," adds Hotel General Manager, Jay Primavera.

Protect-a-Bed was introduced in South Africa in 1980 and through phenomenal success made its way to the United States. With the growing concerns for health care and the high occupancy rates in popular hotels, it has become ever more important to protect bedding such as mattresses and pillows against dust mites and bed bug infestations. Protect-a-Bed does exactly that as well as fighting off harmful allergens. Protect-a-Bed products are free of harmful materials, are flame-resistant to a greater extent than required by law and can be used safely in any domestic environment making an essential for today's hotel guests piece of mind.

In addition to its health guarding attributes, other features include a unique membrane designed to maintain ultimate comfort and a total heat transference formula that allows heat and moisture to transfer out while keeping liquids from seeping in to the mattress.

The Queen Mary is proud to include Protect-a-Bed's in its newly refurbished sleeping rooms. It is one more example of the hotels dedication to creating a first-class experience for all guests.
