IHG Announces Expansion of Holiday in Orange County, CA

JUNE 23, 2008. IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON:IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)], one of the world's largest hotel groups by number of rooms announced today plans for a 148 room, 21st-century Holiday Inn hotel in Lake Forest, California. The Holiday Inn Lake Forest-Irvine Spectrum is expected to open in Summer 2009.

Developed to be more efficient to build, operate and maintain, the new Holiday Inn Lake Forest-Irvine Spectrum will bring the iconic heritage of the Holiday Inn brand to life in a modern, innovative design that will set new standards for business travelers and families alike.

The hotel design debuts a bold change in room d'ecor for Holiday Inn, creating a residential atmosphere that features iconic representations of the brand's history throughout the hotel. The bedspread and carpet display simple, organic patterns in stand-out colors, and each guestroom features a newly designed breakaway armoire that allows guests to see the TV from anywhere in the room. Upgraded features like faux leather ottomans, a variety of lamps, refrigerators and granite vanities will all be standard in each room. The residential design includes business-focused necessities like an ergonomic work station, data ports, and complimentary high speed wired and hard-wired Internet access. In addition, guest rooms come standard with a sitting area with a lounge chair, 32" flat screen televisions with premium channels, hairdryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board.

The Holiday Inn Lake Forest-Irvine Spectrum will also offer a variety of other amenities including a full-service restaurant, cocktail lounge and bar, room service, complimentary wireless internet access in all public areas, 1,200 square feet of meeting space, a business center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub.

Conveniently located just off Interstate 5 and Lake Forest Drive, the property is within minutes from the Irvine Spectrum and Foothill Ranch, and about 10 minutes from John Wayne Airport. World class shopping at South Coast Plaza, beaches, Disneyland Resort, Angel Stadium, championship golf courses, are all within 15-30 minutes from the hotel site.
