Miraval Tucson Appoints Chad Luethje Exec Chef

JUNE 13, 2008. The award-winning destination spa, Miraval(R) Tucson is pleased to announce the appointment of Chad Luethje as Executive Chef. In this role, Chef Luethje will be responsible for all food and beverage operations at Miraval, which includes seeking out the best natural and organic foods for the menu.

Chef Luethje joins the Miraval Culinary Team bringing a wealth of industry knowledge with over two decades of culinary and spa cuisine experience. Chef's approach to cooking reflects Miraval's commitment to creating a full flavored, fresh healthy cuisine. The Miraval cuisine incorporates local, fresh ingredients and uses non-traditional ingredients to create familiar flavors and textures.

A successful culinary expert, Chef Chad Luethje has more than 20 years experience in the kitchens of luxury resorts and fine dining establishments. Before joining the Miraval team, Chef was the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef at Red Mountain Spa in Utah where he worked with the Spa nutritionist to create and implement healthy, new recipes. Prior to working at Red Mountain Spa, Chef was the Executive Chef at Teton Mountain Lodge in Wyoming and Cedar Breaks Lodge in Utah. Chef Chad Luethje has also presented at the James Beard House twice and is a program instructor for both Certified Service Excellence and Certified Serv-Safe. Adding to his expertise, Chef also gained culinary management experience through his work at Enchantment Resort and Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort.
