Loews Philadelphia Hotel Awarded Company's Top Honor - Hotel of the Year

PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 11, 2008. Loews Hotels' Chairman and CEO Jonathan Tisch awarded two of the company's 11 annual awards to Loews Philadelphia Hotel during its national meeting in Orlando. The hotel received the top award "Hotel of the Year" and Anthony Del Gaudio was named "Marketer of the Year." Both awards recognize the accomplishments of the property since it opened in 2000.

Loews Philadelphia Hotel received the company's top honor, "Hotel of the Year." The hotel was recognized for its overall commitment to guest and employee satisfaction, compliance with brand initiatives and standards, year-over-year profits in both average room rate and food and beverage outlets, and implementation of the "Good Neighbor Policy," to list a few criteria for the award.

Mr. Del Gaudio was honored for his leadership to benefit both the Loews brand and the Philadelphia property. He has forged numerous community partnerships including Covenant House, The Franklin Institute, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation and Philadelphia Museum of Art. The hotel's integrated marketing efforts of Solefood restaurant and innovative guestroom packages reach countless guests. He has been with Loews Philadelphia Hotel since 2002 as the Director of Sales and Marketing and current post as Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He oversees the properties in Annapolis, Las Vegas, Montreal, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Quebec and Washington, D.C.

For 2007 Loews Philadelphia Hotels has been named a "Gold Key Award' winner from Successful Meetings magazine and received a "Pinnacle" award from Meetings & Conventions magazine; "Best of East" from Meetings East and "Best Hotel in Philadelphia" from City Paper.
