LXR Luxury Appoints Managing Director of South Seas Island Resort
BOCA RATON, FL, June 10, 2008. LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels president Jean-Jacques Pergant announces the appointment of Richard Hayduk as managing director of South Seas Island Resort, effective immediately.
Hayduk will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 330-acre Captiva Island, Fla., resort. South Seas Island Resort offers 465 newly renovated accommodations ranging from private beach homes and charming Gulf cottages to traditional hotel rooms and luxury villas. The resort also features two-and-a-half miles of shell-laden beaches, the Captiva Island Golf Club -- one of the Top Five Short Courses in the World -- and a brand new pool and cabana oasis overlooking the waters of Pine Island Sound.
Hayduk comes to LXR most recently from The Cliffs Communities, Inc., in Travelers Rest, S.C., where he served as the vice president of hospitality for two years. Prior to that, he served as president, CEO and general manager of Grand Caribbean Resorts, Ltd., located in Great Exuma, Bahamas. In addition, Hayduk held a number of management positions including vice president of operations over a 14-year period at The Breakers Palm Beach in Palm Beach, Fla.
