Nob Hill Express Debuts in San Francisco

. October 14, 2008

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 3, 2008. Just in time for travelers' summer doldrums of budget constraints created by our current economy, Nob Hill Express debuts at 1353 Bush Street, San Francisco, CA 94109. Hotel owner, Rudy Colombini, states: "This 18-room hotel, annex to our historic Nob Hill Hotel, permits guests the convenience of parking their cars in a reasonably-priced garage across the street (about $12 per day), and extends our family's brand to the tempo of our economy."

Colombini continues, "I've personally decorated the rooms myself in a style similar to the eclectic European Renaissance characteristic of the Nob Hill Hotel, so guests can enjoy the convenience of a downtown stay at a fraction of the cost." Colombini is quick to remind us that Union Square, Polk Street and Van Ness Avenue are just a few of the options for visitors anxious to divest themselves on the money saved in accommodations. Colombini-Italian Caf'e and Bistro offers the family's signature Risotto cuisine along with carefully chosen menus and beverage items.

How did the family business start? It started with North Beach native, Rudy Colombini, choosing to tap his San Francisco birthplace as a unique career. Can a hotelier be an impresario? If so, Rudy Colombini fits the bill! Named for Puccini's Bohemian character, Rodolfo, in La Boheme, Colombini took this heritage to heart and found a way to design a lifestyle of Impresario Extraordinaire owning, decorating and presenting The Fitzgerald Hotel in addition to the Nob Hill Hotel, distinctive, historic and +100-year old boutique properties. "I'm a visionary," Colombini candidly admits, "That's what I do best!" Identifying Investors Hospitality Management ("IHM") to provide fiduciary diligence and sustainable management practices for Colombini's hotels has freed the impresario to focus on equally compelling roles he occupies in the entertainment industry.

Colombini also empowers his staff to represent him. Holly Norman, Director of Operations, shares the compelling reason IHM was chosen to represent the three San Francisco hotels: "I met John in December at an IMN conference at which he was speaking in Las Vegas. Intuitively, I felt IHM's focus on sustainability and green hotel management (an important priority in San Francisco as well as any American city), was complemented by the fact that his company was small, entrepreneurial and eager to be located in San Francisco. IHM was more motivated than other contenders for the management contract, and we felt John would be putting more out for us. John's background and warmth made us feel he and Rudy would be able to have a good relationship. The human connection is the compelling reason to engage in this dialogue we place under "small business".
