Discovery Gets Into the St Lucia Jazz Groove

APRIL 14, 2008. Discovery at Marigot Bay on the scenic west coast of St Lucia, is tuning up for the island's annual Jazz Festival, May 2 to 11, with a special package which takes in the best of the Festival action.

The Discovery Rhythms package (May 9 to May 12) includes:

  • Three nights accommodation in a resort view room for two persons

  • All taxes and service charge

  • Full American breakfast each morning

  • Airport transfers

  • Boat transfers to Pigeon Island National Park for the main stage shows on May 9, 10 and 11.

The cost of the package is just US$1233 per couple for the entire three-night stay. As a special treat, upgrade to a one bedroom resort view suite and pay just US$1656 per couple.

Extra person charges apply to the suite only (US$510 per accompanying adult, and US$330 per child to cover the entire three night stay).

Additional nights can be added at a cost of US$264 per night for a resort view room and US$405 per night for a resort view suite including all taxes, service charge and full American breakfast each morning.

The package is timed to allow jazz loving guests to enjoy performances from the Festival's headlining acts.

On Friday, May 9 the action starts at 9pm with performances by Sole Food, Jonathan Butler, Air Supply, and musical superstar, Michael Bolton.

Saturday, May 10 from 2pm enjoy local talent Barbara Cadet & friends, David Sanchez, Jazz Explosion, and R&B diva Anita Baker.

The Festival comes to a crescendo on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11 with an all-star line-up of Wyclef Jean, Dionne Warwick, Angie Stone, and the Eric Idlefonse Quintet.
