Orient-Express Hotels Announces DOSM, Residential Projects
APRIL 10, 2008. Orient-Express Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Lamar Rutherford as Director of Sales and Marketing, Residential Projects.
Based in the United States, Ms. Rutherford will first focus on development of the condominiums at Cupecoy Yacht Club as well as the Villas at La Samanna, both of which are currently under construction on the island of St Martin. Additionally, she will evaluate real estate opportunities in locations worldwide such as Mexico, Lisbon and Madeira. When projects are complete, Lamar's efforts will be directed towards the marketing and sales of the residences.
Lamar Rutherford joins Orient-Express from a prior position as Vice President of Marketing & Strategy at Onsite PM, a Project Management Software Company. Her diverse background includes Strategic Marketing Consulting for real estate development, consumer products and technology companies such as real estate company Living Homes, Intuit and Hunt-Wesson. She was also an entrepreneur, opening and running three retail businesses and developing two real estate ventures. She sold one of her businesses, a yoga studio, to head up Marketing and Acquisitions for Yoga Works, where she was involved in the acquisition of seven studios and re-launching the brand.
