Homewood Suites by Hilton Announces Executive Appointments

APRIL 9, 2008. Homewood Suites by Hilton?, the international brand of upscale, all-suite, residential-style hotels, today announced the promotion of Roy Johnson to Senior Director, Product Development and Services, and Adrian Sugars to Senior Director, Brand Revenue Management. Both are based in Homewood's Memphis Headquarters and report to Dawn Koenig, Vice President, Hotel Performance Support Services.

"Both Roy and Adrian have played a pivotal role in the growth and evolution of the brand," said Koenig. "Additionally, the two embody the sprit of Homewood Suites in that they are warm and welcoming, yet driven and innovative."

Johnson joined Homewood Suites in 2005 as Director of Product and Service Development and has played an integral role in deploying Distinctly Homewood, the brand-wide initiative to upgrade properties and the guest experience. He created and executed a comprehensive food and beverage initiative that included the development of an online ordering tool, worked on cutting-edge team member iPod? training, and is finalizing enhancements to hotel menu offerings. Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and F&B industry, working for industry leaders such as Embassy Suites?, Holiday Inn?, Hilton?, and Hampton Inn?.

Sugars is a ten-year veteran of the Homewood Suites team, initially joining the brand as Revenue Manager supporting 75 hotels. In 2000, she was promoted to Director, Revenue Management - a role in which she was responsible for developing and executing strategic pricing, training, and technology enhancements for the brand. Sugars began her career in the hospitality industry 17 years ago for the Embassy Suites brand, honing her skills in reservations, GDM/data services, and reservations.
