Foothill Oaks Casino Announces Name Change

. October 14, 2008

APRIL 7, 2008. The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians announced today that it has changed the name of the Foothill Oaks Casino to Red Hawk Casino, to better reflect its vision for the property.

"It was important for us to select a name that best reflects our vision for the property," said Nicholas H. Fonseca, Tribal Chairman, Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians. "We believe the Red Hawk Casino name conveys a strong and exciting vision that will help set the right expectation for the Red Hawk Casino as northern California's premier gaming destination."

Scheduled to open during fourth quarter 2008, the Red Hawk Casino will offer amenities and a gaming experience that will be unrivaled in northern California. The casino will feature more than 2,000 slot machines, table games, six restaurants, four bars, and lighted and covered parking. Visitors will also be treated to spectacular views of the Sierra Foothills; views shared with the Red-tailed Hawks that frequent the area.

"We look forward to providing the public with periodic updates on the progress of construction and other key milestones, as we move towards our grand opening," added Fonseca.

In conjunction with the name change, the Shingle Springs Band launched a new Web site for the Red Hawk Casino at www.redhawkcasino.com, which includes more information on the casino's amenities, along with news and information updates. The Web site also contains a webcam so visitors can see daily images of the construction site. Visitors to the Foothill Oaks Casino Web site will automatically be redirected the new Web site.
