Sold-out Hotel Forecasts Good Attendance for HFTP's Annual Convention & Tradeshow

. October 14, 2008

AUSTIN, TX, September 27, 2005. The sold-out status of the host hotel for the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) Annual Convention & Tradeshow is a strong sign that the popular convention will be well-attended. As of yesterday, there were no rooms available at the Radisson Plaza Hotel & Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where the convention and tradeshow will take place. This year's room block is the largest set aside in the history of the Annual Convention, and as of noon today CST, the room-night pickup exceeded last year's by over 12 percent. To assist attendees who have not made hotel reservations, HFTP has posted a list of nearby hotels on its web site at www.hftp.org.

In its 53rd year, the HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow keeps hospitality finance and technology professionals abreast of the industry's latest trends and hot topics. Last year over 660 people came to the convention in Garden Grove (Anaheim), Calif. This year's convention will be held Oct. 26*29 and is expected to host just as many attendees. Those who attend have the opportunity to go to numerous education sessions led by expert speakers and network with colleagues and friends, helping them discuss and learn current industry techniques and strategies being used throughout the world.

"What separates the HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow form other conventions that you may attend, is that in addition to presenting a valuable program, it is by far the most warm and friendly environment I have ever experienced at at convention," says Jo Anna M. Schillaci, CHTP, food and beverage controller at Boca West Inc. in Boca Raton, Fla.

In conjunction with the convention, the event will feature a tradeshow that will give attendees the opportunity to evaluate new technologies and services. The tradeshow will feature exhibitors that provide products and services such as accounting software, credit card service companies, financial service companies, Internet access, travel services, club management software and much more.

Another highlight of the annual convention is its location at Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is the heart of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile crescent of beach on South Carolina's northern Atlantic coast. The Travel Channel named Myrtle Beach one of America's Best Beaches for 2003*2004, stating on its web site at discovery.com that, "Myrtle Beach is the East Coast's ultimate vacation hub."
