Jim Olsovsky Named GM for Pittsburgh Marriott

STATE COLLEGE, PA, March 18, 2008. Shaner Hotel Group announced that it has hired Jim Olsovsky as General Manager for the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center.

Mr. Olsovsky brings more than thirty years experience in the hospitality industry, including 27 years with the Marriott Corporation in leadership roles at Marriott properties in the Washington, D.C. area, Chicago and Oklahoma. He served as General Manager for the Oklahoma City Marriott, the Doubletree Hotel and Executive Meeting Center in Omaha, NE, and Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn in suburban Baltimore, MD. His accomplishments included a record of consistently achieving top guest satisfaction scores for his region and maintaining market share at 121% of fair share.

Mr. Olsovsky earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Texas A & I University, his Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) certification in 1990 and re-certifications in 1995 and 2000. Mr. Olsovsky, his wife Tricia and their family presently reside in Omaha, NE, and will be relocating to the Pittsburgh area.
