Village at Squaw Valley Opens Mountain Stream Room

FEBRUARY 22, 2008. The Village at Squaw Valley USA is opening its new Mountain Stream Room on April 15th, adding 1,900 squarefeet to its existing 5,500 square feet of meeting space and creating aserene venue that takes full advantage of the alpine environment. MountainStream increases the resort's overall meeting space to approximately 7,500square feet, catering to groups of 250 or less.

Ideally located near the main lobby and additional meeting rooms, the newMountain Stream meeting space can be divided into three separate smallerrooms via air walls. The space is wired for audio-visual presentations,tele-conferencing and includes high-speed Internet access. It features alarge outdoor patio situated above the Village stream, perfect for outdoorseating and cocktail receptions. Meeting attendees catch spectacular viewsup the mountain to Red Dog Ridge through the new space's floor-to-ceilingwindows. Mountain Stream can seat up to 130 in rounds and is well suited forbanquet-style functions and weddings.

The Village at Squaw Valley's Spring Conference Special allows groups totake advantage of this new meeting environment as well as the luxuriousaccommodations in the resort's condominium suites. Groups can book at least50 rooms for 2 nights or 100 rooms for one night in either April or May 2008and receive a special rate of $119 for a one-bedroom suite, representing a$30 savings per room. The rate is not valid for existing groups alreadybooked and does not include a $10 resort fee per night, which covers parkingin the underground parking garage, high speed internet access in allsleeping rooms, and use of fitness centers and spa.Located near Lake Tahoe at the base of Squaw Valley USA, The Villageprovides plenty of activity options for group attendees. This winter's heavysnow pack promises phenomenal spring skiing and guests are just steps fromSquaw Valley USA's lift network, which provides direct access to 4,000 acresof skiing and snowboarding terrain. In the spring, summer and fall theresort is conveniently situated for groups to experience the High Sierra'swide assortment of activities such as golf, hiking, biking, horseback ridingand water sports on Lake Tahoe.
