BANGKOK, September 22, 2005. Novotel Clarke Quay Singapore has completed a comprehensive multi-million dollar renovation to key public areas, restaurants and guest rooms, giving the hotel a bold new look to match its excellent facilities.

The renovation and hotel relaunch coincides with a massive upgrading programme for Clarke Quay, the historic tourist, shopping and restaurant district tucked along the banks of the Singapore River. Novotel Clarke Quay towers over Clarke Quay making it one of Singapore's best-located hotels for leisure and business travellers alike.

The 400-room hotel is also within walking distance to the Clarke Quay MRT Station, which offers train services to Orchard Road, Raffles Place, Raffles City and World Trade Centre, as well as Changi International Airport on the Airport Extension Line.

The hotel's guest rooms, including 22 suites, have been upgraded to Novotel's latest design standards incorporating aspects of the brand's newest 'Novation' room concept from Europe. The renovated rooms offer value added amenities such as flat screen televisions with DVD players and versatile pivoting workstation developed with the travelling executive in mind.

Corporate travellers will also enjoy additional benefits on the hotels three new Biz Floors. These include ease of check in/out at the 24th floor Biz Lounge, free broadband and wireless access, free usage of a meeting room for six persons for up to three hours, plus daily afternoon cocktails and snacks.

The six-month refurbishment of the Novotel culminated with the opening of 'The Square', Novotel's innovative signature restaurant known for its interactive cooking experience.

Over the next month, Novotel Clarke Quay will open another two restaurants in addition to The Square. Mogul Mahal will serve Northern Indian fare and Dragon Phoenix will tantalise tastebuds with authentic Cantonese Cuisine.

General Manager, Vincent Lelay, said Novotel Clarke Quay now had the top quality product to match its pre-eminent location, noting that new openings on Clarke Quay include the famous Crazy Horse Cabaret from Paris and Ministry of Sound.

"Novotel Clarke Quay enjoys one of Singapore's best locations for both business and leisure travellers, positioned right in the heart of Clarke Quay, Singapore's premier dining and entertainment area. With the renovation we proudly offer modern, stylish accommodation that appeals to both the customer profile of Clarke Quay and the standards that Novotel customers expect worldwide."

Novotel Clarke Quay also renovated and upgraded its meeting facilities, making it one of Singapore's top MICE hotels. It can cater for up to 700 people in the Grand Phoenix Ballroom and 300 in the Cinnamon Room. Smaller meeting rooms can take up to 80 people in different settings, ideal for organising break out meetings or smaller corporate gatherings.
