Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort In Thailand To Re-Open In October

BANGKOK, Thailand, September 22, 2005. Le M'eridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort in Thailand will re-open on October 15, after closing in December 2004 due to tsunami-related damage. To celebrate the resort is offering a special opening rate from lb45 (USD $75) per room per night including breakfast and excluding tax.

Located just an hour from Phuket International Airport and 19 kilometres south of the market town Takua Pa, Le M'eridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort is close to the Similan Islands, a marine national park world-famous for its scuba diving locations. Lamru Natural National Park, offering eco-tourism lifestyle adventures, is also close by.

The hotel offers a choice of restaurants and bars many with al fresco dining, 243 bedrooms, 10 Lagoon villas and 15 Pool villas. The luxury pool villas feature private gardens, a 25-metre private pool, Jacuzzi and open air 'Sala'. All villas are equipped with 42" plasma screen televisions and wireless broadband Internet connection.

The resort's spa, Le Spa, has lush tropical indoor and outdoor landscaping and features eight private, self-contained villas for spa treatments with a separate 25-metre swimming pool and a garden pool bar.
