USA, Miami, Florida. August 02, 2024

Viva Resorts by Wyndham, a leading provider of all-inclusive vacations in the Caribbean, is thrilled to announce the upcoming grand opening of its latest resort, Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All-Inclusive Resort, on Dec. 11, 2024.

This brand-new resort featuring almost 290,000 square feet marks Viva Resorts by Wyndham's ninth all-inclusive property in the Caribbean and sixth in the Dominican Republic, strengthening the vacation provider's presence in this pristine region renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture. With three buildings surrounded by the lush beauty of the area, Viva Miches by Wyndham promises a memorable experience for families, couples and adventurers seeking to escape the crowds and discover this little-known gem: Playa Esmeralda.

With an investment of $80 million for the first phase, Viva Miches sets the stage for future expansion. A second phase is planned to bring the resort to approximately 750 rooms, with a total investment of $130 million, further solidifying its commitment to providing an exceptional experience for its guests.

Viva Miches by Wyndham is located in the picturesque town of Miches situated on the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Radiating its undiscovered mystique, this tranquil locale offers untouched beaches, sprawling landscapes and a serene atmosphere. For added accessibility and convenience, the new property is just an hour and a half from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).

The eco-conscious resort boasts 538 accommodations with breathtaking garden, ocean and oceanfront views, some featuring private plunge pools, all designed to reflect the lush surroundings with a breezy, earth-tone palette. Guests can indulge in a world of culinary delights at five distinct restaurants, featuring an international buffet and four á la carte eateries—each dedicated to a specific global cuisine: Latin fusion, Asian specialties, Oceanic creations and delectable Mediterranean fare.

"Viva Miches represents a significant milestone for Viva Resorts by Wyndham," says Dominique Colussi, vice president of development. "We are excited to expand even further and introduce this exceptional resort to travelers seeking an all-inclusive experience on an off-the-beaten-path paradise. This hidden jewel promises a magical escape for all."

This brand-new resort will offer an unforgettable adventure for the whole family. Guests can unwind by the expansive pool with a swim-up bar, join invigorating dance classes, take in show-stopping nightly entertainment, Viva's signature party program Viva Vibe, explore the weekly craft market, and more. For nature enthusiasts, an excursion to Los Haitises National Park and Laguna Limón, offers an opportunity to explore havens for diverse wildlife. For those seeking a truly unique experience, seasonal whale-watching and excursions to Montaña Redonda, known for its Instagram-famous hilltop swings, are available at the resort.

As an homage to this virgin paradise, Viva Miches has worked with local Dominican artisans to integrate its presence into each space. Through rich tones of blues, greens and creams, the resort becomes a multi-sensory experience where each environment exudes the peace and balance of its surrounding landscape.

"Viva all-inclusive resorts are known for their stunning beaches, endless array of activities and providing impressive value throughout the Caribbean," says Gustavo Viescas, President, Latin America and the Caribbean, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. "Viva Miches will certainly be no exception and will be a tremendous addition to Wyndham's all-inclusive portfolio."

As part of Viva Resorts by Wyndham's commitment to environmental stewardship and reducing its carbon footprint, Viva Miches by Wyndham proudly supports Protortuga, an organization dedicated to sea turtle conservation. Through the Wyndham Green Program, Viva Miches will adhere to sustainable initiatives such as waste reduction, the implementation of solar power and eliminating the use of single-use plastics. Built with conservation in mind, the resort embraces eco-friendly practices, making it ideal for environmentally conscious travelers.
