The Kimpton Harper Appoints Rana Papson as General Manager
The Kimpton Harper, located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rana Papson as general manager. Papson will oversee the day-to-day functions of the hotel, including team member development, revenue management, maintaining outstanding guest satisfaction and overseeing the hiring process.
"Throughout my hospitality career, I've had the privilege of working alongside a range of proven teams, enabling me to expand upon my managerial skill set and hone my leadership abilities," said Rana Papson. "I'm looking forward to bringing this resume back to Texas where my career began, and to build on the already successful culture that The Harper has established here in Fort Worth."
Before joining The Harper, Papson was most recently the hotel manager at the Arlo Wynwood in Miami, Florida, where she oversaw nine departments, implemented efficiency-focused policies and procedures, managed key stakeholder relationships across the hotel's outlets and monitored staff performance, among other key responsibilities. Papson rejoins Pivot, the lifestyle vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group, having served in various roles across the organization for six years. She earned her bachelor's degree in hospitality administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.
"Rana has built a passionate career dedicated to instilling a positive culture and fostering a hardworking environment," said Paul Newmaster, regional vice president of operations at Pivot. "We could not be more excited to have her guiding our unique downtown hotel and award-winning culinary outlets as we enter our third year in the everchanging Fort Worth market."
The Kimpton Harper originally opened in 2021, bringing a fresh sense of Western-modern style to Downtown Fort Worth. The hotel houses 226 guest rooms and suites, an award-winning ground-floor Italian restaurant il Modo, penthouse bar Refinery 714, over 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, and more—all within a historic landmark.
