Valerie Cooper Named General Manager for Hilton Shreveport
Located adjacent to the Shreveport Convention Center, Hilton Shreveport announces the appointment of Valerie Cooper as general manager. The 311-room hotel recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation including an extensive redesign of the guest rooms, meeting spaces, lobby, rooftop pool, fitness center, exterior and more.
With 20+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, Cooper is an expert in leadership experience, operations, human resources and project management. She joins Hilton Shreveport from Embassy Suites Santa Ana where she held the position of general manager, and also served as a board member for Travel Santa Ana and as a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, she held a leadership role at Renaissance Dallas Plano at Legacy West, as the director of operations and served as assistant general manager at Renaissance Dallas Richardson.
In her new role at Hilton Shreveport, Cooper will be overseeing all daily hotel operations to guarantee an exceptional guest experience. In addition, she is responsible for guest relations, revenue management, expense management, employee development and more. She'll also be overseeing operations at Market 104, Coffee Talk Café and River & Rye, the hotel's on-site dining facilities. Acting as a brand ambassador, Cooper will provide leadership and strategic direction to all departments of the hotel.
Set in Shreveport's charming Riverfront District, Hilton Shreveport features 311 contemporary guest rooms, three dining options including the signature River & Rye restaurant, a rooftop pool with panoramic city views, and a 24-hour fitness center with Precor, Peloton and Hydroflow equipment.
