Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort Names Mary O’Donnell Managing Director
Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort announces the appointment of Mary O'Donnell to Managing Director. O'Donnell moves into the Managing Director role after four years as General Manager at Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. In her new role, O'Donnell will lead the iconic resort, setting property-wide strategic goals, fostering team development, and ensuring the resort continues to exceed guest expectations.

Mary O'Donnell joined Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in 2014 and while under her leadership, both the resort and her team have flourished. In 2018, Mary was nominated by Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association for Florida's Leading Women in Lodging. Prior to Omni, Mary served in various hospitality leadership roles including catering, meeting and events, sales, food and beverage and operations positions. Mary spent 13 years with Ritz-Carlton where she served as hotel manager at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, director of operations at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale and director of meetings and special events at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. Mary began her hospitality career with Hyatt, moving up the ranks to director of catering and conference services/director of food and beverage. O'Donnell attended Purdue University where she earned a bachelor's degree in hotel management.
O'Donnell and her husband have a daughter, who is currently attending Florida State University, and three dogs who thoroughly enjoy long walks throughout Amelia Island.
