Dorchester Collection Appoints Two Senior Sales & Marketing Executives for UK Hotels

Dorchester Collection has announced the appointment of two new senior executives to take leading positions in sales and marketing for its three UK hotels - The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in Mayfair, and Coworth Park in Ascot. The duo, who will report into regional director and general manager of The Dorchester, Robert Whitfield, are tasked with driving growth into the North American market.

Matthew Rowlette was appointed area director of sales and marketing effective from February 21, 2018, and Susannah Lurie appointed director of sales for North America effective from July 2, 2018.

Matthew who originally hails from Canada, reports directly to Robert Whitfield, and will be responsible for driving top line revenue, marketing, sales and reservation strategies to achieve global growth. Matthew joins from the Four Seasons as senior director of sales for the UK collection; which includes Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire and Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square. Matthew was fundamental in the strategic direction of sales leadership and spearheading market positioning, communications and awareness. Prior to these roles, Matthew led the sales and marketing disciplines at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London and The Merrion Hotel Dublin as Director of Sales.

Reporting to Matthew, Susannah will support the sales drive with a focus on the North American market. Susannah joins from almost 20 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts beginning in Park Lane before opening Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire as director of marketing. This followed with a move to manage the North American market for the three Four Seasons properties based in the UK. Most recently, Susannah's role as director of sales, leisure and corporate saw her manage the North American and Asian markets as well as overseeing the leisure and corporate team which included the Middle East, Russia/ CIS and South American markets.

Both appointments mark a progressive chapter for the hotel group with key hires focused on driving growth into the North American market.
