Princess D'An Nam Resort & Spa Welcomes New General Manager

Vietnam's luxury destination Princess D'An Nam Resort & Spa has recently announced the appointment of seasoned hotelier Michael Tiplady as General Manager.

Tiplady strengthens the leadership team of this exclusive, all-villa retreat destination located along the pristine coast and lush tropical gardens of Ke Ga Bay, an inlet in southern Vietnam, 150 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.

With more than 35 years of extensive international hotel experience, Tiplady brings deep knowledge of the leisure industry to Princess D'An Nam Resort & Spa. He has spearheaded and managed the opening, renovation and re-branding of various world-class hotel and resort properties in London, Hong Kong, Dubai, Taiwan, Korea, Shanghai and other cities in China.

Before joining Princess D'An Nam Resort & Spa, Tiplady was Vice President of Hainan Airlines in Beijing for four years, and initiated the launch of HNA Group's Tangla luxury hotel brand throughout China.

With a strong focus on quality while driving profitability, Tiplady has a track record of building sustainable businesses through close partnership with guests and stakeholders, as well as building strong, culturally-diverse teams.

Tiplady has a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Hotel Management from the University of Paisley in Scotland, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of West London.

The prestigious Princess D'An Nam Resort & Spa has a mix modernist and post-colonial ambiance, and was designed by acclaimed architect Tan Hock Beng. Nestled along unspoiled white beachfront at Ke Ga Bay, the 57 exclusive villas are surrounded by colorful heliconia gardens created by conservationist Alan W. Carle, who is renowned for his work on the Singapore Botanical Garden.

An idyllic haven of calm and luxury, Princess D'an Nam Resort & Spa features a sumptuous, award-winning 1,800 square meter organic spa complex built around a private courtyard. Guests can also enjoy four swimming pools and a gym, as well as two fine dining restaurants and a bar.

Extensively spacious, the exquisite villas have room sizes ranging from 75 square meters to 180 square meters, and feature their own balconies and private gardens. Some also have their own private swimming pool. Each of the rooms is decorated in bright white with Vietnamese and Chinese artefacts scattered throughout the property.
