Benchmark Appoints Charles Nehme GM

HOUSTON, TX, September 18, 2006. Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Charles Nehme general manager of The Northland Inn, a hotel and executive conference center located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, near Minneapolis. Tom O'Shea, senior vice president for Benchmark, made the announcement.

Mr. Nehme is a veteran of hospitality, having invested 30 years in positions of increasing responsibility within the industry. Before joining Benchmark, Nehme was the president of a small hotel management company based in Texas, where he was involved in the development and management of several hotels.

Prior to this position, Mr. Nehme was regional vice president of operations with Signet Hotel Corporation, where he oversaw the financial performance of eight hotel & resort properties. Nehme has also led teams in renovating and opening a variety of hotels.

Charles Nehme began his hospitality career with Marriott Hotels & Resorts and held management positions in Miami, Los Angeles, New York (Essex House), Philadelphia and Atlanta. He has also served as managing director of resort properties, including Carmel Highland Golf & Tennis Resort of San Diego and the Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire.

Mr. Nehme is a Certified Hotel Administrator, a designation he earned from the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He was born and raised in Lebanon, and immigrated to the United States as a young man.
