Scott Scovil Joins LRC as VP of Sales
ORLANDO, FL, September 19, 2006. Scott Scovil has been named Vice President of Sales at Land Resource Companies (LRC), an Atlanta-based development company. Scovil will be responsible for the oversight of all sales operations in all LRC communities across the Southeast. This includes forecasting, budgeting and achieving sales results on all current and future LRC properties. Scovil will also play a key role in sales training initiatives, software implementation and the development of future policies.
According to LRC's CEO Mike Flaskey, Scovil's expertise in developing innovative strategies and his ability to motivate a sales team will play a key role in helping the company achieve its goals. As LRC continues to grow, Flaskey intends to identify new areas of opportunity and make the most of them.

Before coming to LRC, Scovil established an impressive sales record at both Fairfield Communities and The Ginn Company. In both organizations, he was among the top sales performers each year he was with the company. At Ginn, he led sales teams at a variety of communities, including Bella Collina in Orlando, Fla., Laurelmor in Boone, N.C. and Quail West in Naples, Fla.

Originally from Asheville, N.C., Scovil graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. A three-time NCAA All-American in golf, Scovil won the 1994 NCAA Division III national championship as an individual and was selected to participate in the John Hancock All-American Classic in El Paso, Texas, as one of the top 25 collegiate golfers in the country. He was also chosen to play for America as a part of the USA National Team against Japan in Narita in 1994. Coached by C.J. Woolum, he was recently inducted into the CNU Collegiate Hall of Fame.
He and his wife, Lia, have one daughter, Rayenne, 3, and are expecting their second daughter in January.
