March 29, 2016 - Winnetu Oceanside Resort, Martha's Vineyard's premiere getaway located at South Beach in Edgartown, announces exciting changes for its annual seasonal re-opening including a brand-new cottage, top-notch management and new poolside restaurant. The Cape Pogue cottage will add to the hotel's spacious accommodations, while General Manager Roland Georges and Executive Chef Noel Middleton will add to the dream-team of experienced management and the Poolside Grill adds an additional dining experience for guests.
Cape Pogue Cottage
The Cape Pogue Cottage at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort has been completely renovated and redesigned. The interiors of the two bedroom two bath cottage reflect a coastal ambiance with a modern, clean neutral palate. Creams, linens and a dramatic wooden four-poster king canopy bed anchor the master suite and a separate second bedroom offer two twin beds in addition to a pullout twin. The heart of the cottage is an open-plan living space designed for relaxed, summer gatherings for families, couples or a girl's getaway, and features a pullout queen sofa. Additional cottage amenities include a full kitchen, private ocean view roof deck and hot tub. The cottage sleeps seven people at starts at $2,230 per night (Summer) and $660 per night (Early Spring - Late Fall).
Experienced Management
Today, Winnetu Oceanside Resort announces today the appointments of Roland Georges as General Manager and Noel Middleton as Executive Chef. The talented duo leads the charge for the property's seasonal reopening. A seasonal expert with a hospitality focus on management, Georges most recently served as Hotel Manager at The Palms Turks and Caicos. Prior, he served as the Opening Executive Assistant Manager at the five-star Raffles Praslin Resort in the Seychelles where he oversaw opening activities. Noel Middleton, a foodservice and culinary expert with more than twenty years of professional cooking and foodservice management experience, is responsible for overseeing food and beverage operations, leading the culinary team and staff to exceed guests' culinary expectations and offering a fresh and innovative take on the already stellar culinary offerings.
Poolside Grill
In conjunction with the appointment of Noel Middleton as Executive Chef, comes the brand-new Poolside Grill, which offers guests the opportunity to dine al fresco on a pavilion and joining the resort's outdoor pool. A variety of dishes such as chilled California gazpacho, lobster rolls, local fish tacos, and the Winnetu burger populate the menu, in addition to a full kid's menu and comprehensive cocktail and mocktail program.
