OKINAWA, Japan / MCLEAN, VA - June 16, 2014 - Hilton Worldwide today announced that Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort will open on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Managed by Hilton Worldwide and owned by Orix Real Estate Corporation, the nine-story Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort will be the 11th Hilton Worldwide property in Japan.

Ideally located next to the popular Mihama Town Resort American Village, one of the Okinawa's largest entertainment, retail and dining precincts, most of Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort's 346 contemporary rooms offer stunning ocean views. Guests at the resort can engage in the many nearby local marine and leisure activities including snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, or indulge in a movie, a game of bowling or shopping. Major attractions such as Naha city, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and a number of World Heritage sites are easily accessible from this central Chatan location.

Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort will offer a wide range of facilities including three swimming pools - a lagoon pool that incorporates a baby and children's pool with two fun waterslides, a pool featuring a cascading waterfall and bar where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink or a light snack as well as a 17-meter heated indoor pool.

Guests can look forward to enjoying traditional Okinawan cuisine made with local ingredients at the SHINKA restaurant and authentic Italian cuisine at CORRENTE. The MAHRU lobby lounge, with its relaxed atmosphere, offers a tempting array of light refreshments and a range of fine cocktails.

For meetings and events, the hotel's 450 square meter Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests and is ideal for special occasions or large conferences. Five other function rooms provide versatile options for varying events and occasions. In addition the hotel also offers a 24-hour fitness center as well as a spa.

Hilton HHonors members will be able to earn and redeem points for their stay. This new hotel is offering 5,000 additional HHonors bonus points per stay from August 1, 2014, until December 27, 2014 when staying for a minimum of three consecutive nights.
