. May 27, 2014

LAS VEGAS - May 27, 2014 - The Cromwell, Las Vegas' newest boutique hotel, officially welcomed first guests with a celebratory ribbon cutting on May 21, 2014, unveiling 188 rooms including 19 suites. One of the most highly anticipated hotel openings in Las Vegas this year, The Cromwell enjoys a prime location on the Strip and is the city's first standalone boutique hotel. The hotel recently underwent a $185 million renovation in February 2013 and features an impressive array of entertainment options, including Bound, the hotel lobby bar; Interlude, a casino lounge offering bottle service; The Abbey, a reserved gaming salon; a 40,000-square-foot casino with 66 table games and 440 slot machines; Giada, Giada De Laurentiis' first restaurant (opening June 3); as well as Drai's Beach Club o Nightclub, a 65,000-square-foot venue offering panoramic partying on The Cromwell's rooftop by nightlife impresario, Victor Drai.

The Cromwell debuts its 19 impressive suites this week, ranging from a 723-square-foot one-bedroom to the 2,550-square-foot, six-bedroom Cromwell Suite. All suites are strategically positioned for guests to enjoy unrivaled views of the Strip from several vantage points, and are equipped with full-size refrigerators, wet bars that can be stocked based on guest preference, steam showers, deep soaking tubs, and popular gaming table elements, including pool tables or pin ball machines.

Each suite boasts elements of vintage Parisian flare mixed with modern details for a look that is refreshingly restrained and refined, while never losing sight of the revelry and vibrance of the Las Vegas experience. Clean lines meet rich hardwood parquet flooring throughout each space with marble tile complements. Custom lighting and fixtures illuminate recessed ceilings, and light, airy tones are incorporated into upholstered wall panels, trimmed with exquisite wood millwork panels and finished with exposed nail heads. The comfortable yet stylish oversized sofa and lounge chairs offer a loft-like appeal meant to evoke a welcoming and social atmosphere.

The 169 standard accommodations are reminiscent of Parisian loft-style apartments, and create a residential feel with distressed hardwood flooring, vintage luggage and trunk-style furnishings. Custom photographic artwork by respected artist, Deborah Anderson, is found in all room categories and conjures the playful spirit and unmistakable allure of Las Vegas. Adding to the whimsical motif are black-and-white mosaic-tiled showers with playful English-French phrases adorning the walls. PetStay rooms and suites are also available, providing pet-friendly accommodations for guests travelling with dogs under 50 pounds.
