. May 23, 2014

SEATTLE - May 23, 2014 - Grand Hyatt Seattle today announced it is nearing the completion of a $6.3 million dollar renovation that updates guest room decor, expands the number of rooms from 425 to 457, and will refresh the property's Grand Club lounge. Located in the heart of Seattle's bustling retail and theater district, Grand Hyatt Seattle combines unparalleled Seattle skyline views, rich cutting-edge design and flawless personal service.

"Our hotel is a go-to for both business and leisure travelers looking for well-appointed accommodations in downtown Seattle, and we wanted to expand the number of rooms to ensure that we can accommodate demand," said General Manager Steve Vissotzky. "Along with more rooms for our guests, we've also updated those rooms with new furniture and window treatments to continue to provide a luxurious experience for our loyal guests."

To complement the already richly decorated hotel, each guest room received new Sapelle Mahogany solid wood work desks with pop-up electrical plugs, TV armoires and nightstands, contemporary nightstand lamps with dimmable LED lighting and bedside electrical outlets. The rooms also feature, comfortable, yet stylish chairs and ottomans and decorative window treatments to match the contemporary brown and cream color scheme.

Inspired by the colors and landscape of the Pacific Northwest, the 1,200-square-foot Grand Club will also receive a complete facelift with new wood and stone surfaces, modern metal fixtures and luxurious furniture, making for a warm and inviting space. As always, Grand Club guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres and gourmet snacks, along with private areas to work or relax and enjoy views of the Cascade Mountains. The expected completion of the Grand Club refresh is July 2014.

The renovation, along with the location and amenities found at Grand Hyatt Seattle, offer a well-appointed getaway for a variety of travelers. For more information about Grand Hyatt Seattle, visit www.grandseattle.hyatt.com.
