Parkersburg, WV - February 4, 2014 - The Blennerhassett Hotel, a nationally recognized historic landmark located in the heart of Parkersburg, announced today that it has partnered with Stash Hotel Rewards, the nation's largest point-based rewards program for independent hotels. As a result of this partnership, Stash members are now able to earn and redeem points at The Blennerhassett Hotel, the first independent hotel in the state of West Virginia to offer a rewards program to its guests.

“Parkersburg continues to experience significant growth in the business sector, and therefore, an increase in frequent business travelers,” said Cecil Childress, General Manager at The Blennerhassett Hotel. “As an independent hotel, it's important to remain competitive in the growing marketplace, and Stash provides us with the opportunity to do just that. With Stash we can now capture the attention of frequent business travelers by coupling a rewards program with our unique experience and exceptional service.”

Built and designed during a flourishing period in Parkersburg history, The Blennerhassett Hotel has been a landmark in the community since opening its doors in 1889. Centrally located in the Historic Downtown District, guests of the Blennerhassett can enjoy a boutique hotel experience, coupled with all of the modern conveniences that they may need during their stay. A business center, fitness facilities, comfortable lobby library, large meeting and event space and Spats Restaurant & Lounge round out the full-service Blennerhassett experience.

“It's as if you've been transported back to the early 1900's era, but with lattes and free wireless,” said Jeff Low, Founder and CEO of Stash Hotel Rewards. “Catch up on emails in the heritage library, sleep in a guestroom in a red brick turret—The Blennerhassett Hotel offers a bit of history without compromising the upscale services business travelers expect.”
