SOUTHAVEN, MS - December 19, 2013 - They say good things come in threes, and that couldn't be truer for three Southaven Marriott hotels.

The Courtyard Memphis Southaven, Fairfield Inn & Suites Memphis Southaven and Residence Inn Memphis Southaven have announced the arrival of three new general managers to take the hotels near Memphis to new heights. The properties are owned and managed by Chartwell Hotels, a progressive ownership and management company that strives to produce a healthy and creative business environment that benefits owners, guests and team members.

Joining the Courtyard Memphis Southaven is Lawrence Solomon, who has been with Chartwell since May 2013. Beginning his career with the Fairfield Inn brand in 1989 after studying hospitality administration at Florida State University, Solomon has served as a general manager for Fairfield Inn and Courtyard properties and has a strong loyalty to the Marriott brand.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Memphis Southaven is proud to welcome Torrance Williams, who joined Chartwell in May 2013. After earning a degree in hospitality and tourism management from Purdue University, Williams began his career as an assistant general manager in 2003. By 2009, he was promoted to general manager. Prior to signing on with Chartwell, Williams worked for Drury Hotels, a family-owned company based out of St. Louis, Mo. Williams brings more than 10 years of hotel management experience to the Fairfield Southaven hotel.

Martin Reines is the new leader at the Residence Inn Memphis Southaven. Reines joined Chartwell in October 2013 and brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience to the hotel near Memphis. Having worked with IHG, Hilton Hotels and Marriott Hotels and Resorts, he also has a strong background in the full-service industry. Reines is no stranger to the general manager role, having opened 12 newly built hotels and ensuring that each opened on a positive note.

Each of these Southaven hotels strive to make guests' stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and Marriott and Chartwell's confidence in each of their new leaders solidifies that goal.
