Benchmark Appoints DOS at Lansdowne Resort
HOUSTON, TX, March 6, 2007. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Warren Breaux as director of sales and marketing for Lansdowne Resort, the company's east coast flagship property located 30 miles west of Washington, DC near Leesburg, Virginia. Tom Manno, Benchmark's managing director at Lansdowne Resort, made the announcement.
"We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Warren's distinguished background on our management team," said Mr. Manno. "He has brought tremendous success and growth to all his endeavors and is the perfect person to lead our sales objectives as we continue to reposition Lansdowne into a true destination resort. He will be a major contributor to our efforts."
In his new role, Warren Breaux will oversee all sales and marketing programming for the 305-guestroom property, which will soon complete a $60 million renovation and expansion program.
Mr. Breaux joins Benchmark Hospitality at Lansdowne Resort having previously served as vice president of sales and marketing for Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center of Prince George County, Maryland. While there he led the pre-opening sales programming for the 2,000-guestroom hotel. Prior to this position, Breaux was vice president of sales for the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where he successfully exceeded booking goals year after year.
Breaux spent the majority of his career with Hyatt Hotels, serving 23 years with the brand. Beginning as a sales manager at the Hyatt Regency in his hometown of New Orleans, Breaux's success carried him up the corporate ladder from divisional director to assistant vice president of sales, where he oversaw all national sales offices, to assistant vice president of sales and marketing overseeing 23 hotels.
A former marine and Vietnam veteran, Warren Breaux is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and holds a degree in Business Administration. He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including ASAE, where he served as a fellow, HSMAI, where he sat on the board of directors, as well as PCMA, MPI, RCMA and IAEM. Mr. Breaux resides in Chantilly, Virginia, along with his wife.
