The Hotel Group Completes Renovations of Twelve Hotels in its Portfolio

Edmonds, WA - July 25, 2013 - Edmonds, Washington-based The Hotel Group (THG) is pleased to announce the completion of a $22 million renovation of 12 hotels in six states since January 2012. As the property management company overseeing the renovations, The Hotel Group provides support to hotel owners renovating properties with fresh, contemporary enhancements to provide inviting accommodations and updated spaces for business and leisure travelers alike.

The renovated properties include DoubleTree by Hilton South Bend in South Bend, Ind.; Holiday Inn Express Anchorage Airport, Fairfield Inn and Suites-Anchorage Midtown and Comfort Inn Ship Creek in Anchorage, Alaska; Holiday Inn Express Lewiston in Lewiston, Idaho; DoubleTree Hotel Cleveland Downtown in Cleveland; Plaza Inn and Suites at Ashland Creek in Ashland, Ore.; Holiday Inn Express Corvallis and Hilton Garden Inn Corvallis at OSU in Corvallis, Ore.; Hilton Garden Inn Seattle/Issaquah in Issaquah, Wash.; Hilton Garden Inn Tri Cities/Kennewick in Kennewick, Wash.; and Courtyard Richland at Columbia Point in Richland, Wash.

THG's most transformative renovation in South Bend, Ind. rebranded the property from a 30-year-old Marriott to a brand new DoubleTree by Hilton. The complete renovation encompassed all 291 guestrooms and 15,000 square feet of meeting space as well as corridors, lobby, atrium, mechanical and HVAC updates. The newly-rebranded hotel now boasts a Starbucks store and vibrant new restaurant concept, Baker's Bar and Grille, which offers a classic American menu, daily drink specials and Studebaker-themed decor.

Renovations at Holiday Inn Express properties (Anchorage, Alaska; Corvallis, Ore.; Lewiston, Idaho) focused on public area and guestroom enhancements to align with individual property improvement plans. The refreshed spaces feature contemporary styled furniture and an updated color palette.

Hilton Garden Inn properties (Corvallis, Ore.; Issaquah, Wash.; Kennewick, Wash.) received cosmetic upgrades to refresh and modernize the common areas with accent paint, decorative art and signage, as well as new lighting to brighten up and enhance inviting entryways. This has transformed the Pavilion into an open and flexible space, combining Hilton Garden Inn brand personality elements with functional guest amenities.

Additional renovations include new breakfast room layout, furniture and finishes at Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland Creek (Ashland, Ore.); guestroom and lobby renovations at Fairfield Inn & Suites Anchorage (Anchorage, Alaska); public area and guestroom updates at Comfort Inn Ship Creek (Anchorage, Alaska) and DoubleTree Hotel Cleveland; and guestroom updates at Courtyard Richland at Columbia Point (Richland, Wash.).
