London - July 19, 2013 - Marriott International, Inc. has announced plans to open the 250-room Moscow Marriott Hotel Crocus City in Russia under a management agreement with CJSC Crocus International. The hotel is expected to open in 2016 and will be part of the company's signature global brand, Marriott Hotels, and 10th property opened or signed in the Moscow area.

"We are expanding our footprint in Russia and look forward to having a Marriott Hotel in this emerging and popular destination outside of Moscow," said Amy McPherson, president and managing director of Marriott International in Europe. "Russia continues to be a major focus and essential part of our growth plan as we continue to work towards doubling our European portfolio by 40,000 rooms. With everything Crocus City has to offer for business, leisure and groups, it is a perfect fit for a Marriott Hotels branded property."

The Moscow Marriott Hotel Crocus City will be ideally located within a new shopping and residential complex in Crocus City, a satellite city of Moscow and well-known business district. Crocus City is very well connected with a private metro station, marina on the Moskva River and heliport.

Overlooking the river, the hotel will offer comfortable, contemporary accommodation across its 250 rooms. Public areas will boast free Wi-Fi, promoting productivity and connectivity, while the lobby will provide a space to work, relax and recharge by merging modern, stylish design, comfort and technology. The hotel's two restaurants and bars will offer guests an array of dining options.

Leisure facilities will include a health and leisure club with an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and treatment room. Meetings will be expertly catered for across the hotel's 1,550 square metres of meeting space, featuring a 650 square metre ballroom divisible by four, six flexible meeting rooms and two boardrooms.
