Adaptive reuse conversion of historic Loyalty Building into hotel earns national industry recognition
ROSEMONT, IL - June 13 , 2013 - Rosemont, Illinois-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG), announced today that it has been honored with three awards from Hilton Hotels Worldwide for its conversion of the former Loyalty Building to a 127-room Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown. The awards, which honor FHG's adaptive reuse preservation design techniques in retaining the building's historic architectural elements, while creating a comfortable hotel with today's modern amenities include: a 2012 Deal of The Year Award, and a 2013 Best New Development Hospitality Award. Phil Cordell, the Global Head of Focused Service and Hampton Brand Management at Hilton Worldwide also gave FHG a WOW! Award in special recognition for having won the 2013 Best New Development.
