Connecticut Tourism Industry Presents Annual Pineapple Awards

WATERFORD, CT - June 5, 2013 - On May 21, Waterford Hotel Group received a prestigious Pineapple Award from the Connecticut Office of Tourism, further distinguishing the company as a leader in the hospitality business. The award was presented during the Connecticut Conference on Tourism, held at the Connecticut Convention Center.

The Pineapple Awards, named for the international symbol of hospitality, are awarded to organizations that demonstrate excellence in tourism in Connecticut. Earlier this month, Waterford Hotel Group was announced as a nominee in the Eastern Tourism district's “Tourism Ambassador” category. This category looks to honor an organization “recognized for consistently supporting tourism with value added contributions.” Waterford Hotel Group operates 31 properties nationwide, including 15 hotels in Connecticut and the Connecticut Convention Center.
