Ethan Allen Hotel Undergoes Multimillion-dollar Renovation
As Ethan Allen Celebrates Its Milestone 80th Anniversary
DANBURY, CT - May 31, 2013 - The Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury has completed the first phase of a three-phase, multimillion-dollar renovation of the hotel's front and rear lobbies, ballrooms, corridors, guestrooms, and public spaces. Ethan Allen—the world-renowned designer, manufacturer, and retailer of iconic American furniture and accessories—is currently celebrating its 80th year as an interior design authority, and the hotel renovation is just one of many initiatives launched in honor of the milestone event.
The Ethan Allen Hotel is a full-service, four-star hotel with 193 guest rooms, two ballrooms, nine meeting rooms, a fitness room, a conservatory, and an enclosed outdoor courtyard with a pool and a gazebo. The hotel's Grand Ballroom, a spectacular space that can accommodate 500+ guests in luxurious style, was recently appointed with a monochromatic color palette of dove gray tones and adorned with custom-made crystal chandeliers. To complement the new modern look, the hotel has also selected sleek new table settings.

During the second phase of the renovation, which begins this month and continues through the summer, Ethan Allen will incorporate new furnishings into the hotel's 193 guestrooms. The rooms will be designed to reflect “modern elegance.” This look will be achieved with warm neutral tones, rich textures, and deep woods. Each guestroom will have a flatscreen TV and iPod docking station.
The third and final phase of the renovation project will focus on Fairfields Restaurant, the hotel's full-service restaurant and lounge; it will be completed in 2014.
