White Lodging Names Four General Managers for Properties in Four States

MERRILLVILLE, Indiana - May 22, 2013 - White Lodging is pleased to announce the following individuals have been named general managers within the last month across the company.

Stan Iliev has been promoted to general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Valparaiso, Ind. Previously, Iliev was the operations manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Midway in Bedford Park, Illi. Iliev joined White Lodging in 2011 as the front desk manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Midway. Prior to his experience with White Lodging, he was a restaurant manager at Avanti Bar & Grill at a Courtyard by Marriott in Oklahoma City and a restaurant supervisor at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club in Oklahoma.

"I am excited for the opportunity and excited to get into my new role so I can make an impact and improve the overall performance of the hotel," said Iliev.

Amy Davis has been promoted to general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Downtown/Old Market Area in Omaha, Nebraska. This will be Davis' first general management position with White Lodging. Davis brings over 10 years of general management experience to her new position. She most recently led the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites and Hampton Inn in Council Bluffs, Iowa as dual general manager. Davis also had responsibility as general manager of the company's outside catering company, Main Events Catering. Davis started her hospitality career at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in 1999 as a front desk associate but quickly worked her way up to guest service manager and then assistant general manager. She received her first general manager opportunity at a Holiday Inn in 2003.

Kirsten Monsen has been named general manager of the Residence Inn in Louisville, Colo. Monsen is a five-year veteran in the Louisville market, and this is her first general management position with White Lodging. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in economics, Monsen started her career with White Lodging as cluster sales manager in 2007. In 2010, Monsen accepted her previous position as cluster director of sales at the Residence Inn Boulder/Louisville.

"I am excited to dive into a new side of management and raise the bar that defines success," Monsen said.

Nicole Patterson has been named general manager of the Holiday Inn Express Midway in Bedford Park, Illi. Previously, Patterson was the assistant general manager at the Hampton Inn Midway. Patterson joined White Lodging in 2004 as a guest service representative and night auditor at the Marriott Chicago Midway. In 2007, Patterson became the front desk supervisor at the Courtyard Midway and moved on to front desk manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Midway in 2008. Her first assistant general management position was at the Sleep Inn Chicago Midway which led her to become the assistant general manager of the Hampton Inn Midway in 2011.

"My goal as general manager of the Holiday Inn Express is to manage the operations of the hotel to maximize profitability, ensure superior service and to help develop my staff. I started off at the front desk as a guest service rep and I want to show others that with dedication they can do anything that they want. The possibilities are unlimited!" Patterson said.
