Jayne Murad was promoted to director of human resources, and Benjamin Moore was appointed controller.

A veteran human resources generalist, Murad began working with DHC in 2004 as director of human resources at the Sheraton North Houston Hotel. Prior to joining DHC, she served with Starwood Hotels and Resorts in both Texas and California.

“Throughout her career, Jayne has worked in every aspect of human resources and is an expert in managing the diverse disciplines required in a hotel of this size,” said Murray Dow, chief executive officer of The Dow Hotel Company. “Jayne's focus on training and implementing smart, comprehensive policies and procedures will greatly benefit this hotel and its associates as they look to make careers in the hospitality industry.”

Benjamin Moore joins the company from his most recent position as director of finance for the nearby Hotel Icon. Earlier, he served in varying capacities with Crestline Hotels and Resorts. As a member of Crestline's special assignments team, Moore was responsible for the financial reconciliation for the opening or takeover of numerous hotels during his tenure.

“Ben has been tested at both the property level and at the task force level, examing both daily details and overall strategy,” Dow said. “I am confident that he will be able to make significant contributions to the financial performance of this hotel and to our growing portfolio in general. His experience with full service hotels made him the ideal candidate for this position.”

The 334-room Hyatt North Houston is located in the midst of the North Houston business district, nearby such corporate locations as Halliburton Energy, GE, Exxon and Smith International. The hotel also is nearby such leisure destinations as the Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, Redstone Golf Course, Splashtown Water Park and Houston's Downtown Aquarium.
