HERNDON, Va. - March 26, 2013 - BridgeStreet Residences, Serviced Apartments and Suites announces the recent appointment of Paul Rands to Director of International Development. In this role, Rands is responsible for driving the company's expansion throughout target international cities with a concentration in Europe and India, negotiating a mix of management, lease contracts and franchise agreements.

Rands is a Chartered Surveyor and specialist in real estate development, management acquisition and investment, with a particular interest in the hospitality sector. He joins BridgeStreet most recently from a position as Founding Director of Quant Capital Partners - a London-based niche fund and investment management business focussed on the hotel sector - where he's led the fundraising activity for the Quant Secure Income Hotel Fund since 2009. He has previously worked in development roles for corporate occupiers including Whitbread Premier Inn, Mitchells & Butlers, Marstons, and Allied Domecq, and has also spent time in real estate consultancy with CB Hillier Parker and the Buell Consulting Group. A native of Worcestershire, Rands attended Nottingham Trent University and will be based in London.
