February 27, 2013 - Sage Hospitality, one of the nation's leading hotel management and investment companies, is proud to announce that their Select Service Division has promoted Mike Harrison to Regional Vice President. Harrison has been a valued member of the management team with Sage since 2006 and was previously serving as Regional Director of Operations of the Full Service Division.

Sage Hospitality continues an aggressive growth strategy across its three hotel divisions; Full Service, Select Service and Premier & Lifestyle. The growth of the Select Service Division, led by Senior Vice President of Operations, Robert Butler, began last year with the addition of 12 Select Service hotels in Ohio. The expansion continued with the opening of the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown at Metro State and Hospitality Learning Center, one of only 10 of its kind in the nation. Soon to follow will be the SpringHill Suites Oceanside in California, opening 2014.

“Sage looks for opportunities to develop our associates and truly invest in our relationships,” said Butler. “Mike has exhibited a real passion for the hospitality industry during his seven years with Sage and I am excited for his new opportunity to take further leadership and help our team drive results.”

Harrison joined Sage Hospitality in 2006 as the general manager of the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel in Tempe, Ariz. In 2009 he was promoted to Regional Director of Operations in the Full Service Division where he was responsible for four Sage properties and also led a $16 million renovation at the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore. Previous to Sage, Harrison was with the Waterford Hotel Group, holding the general manager position at a number of properties.

“Corporate citizenship is one of Sage's core values,” said Walter Isenberg, President and CEO of Sage Hospitality. “Mike has shown uncompromising determination to both maximizing the value of the hotels he is responsible for, while also contributing to the many communities in which we work and live."

While in Tempe, Harrison was given the Community Service Hotel of the Year Award by both Sage and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. He has served on a number of advisory boards and committees such as Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association and the University of Massachusetts Hotel Department Advisory Board.
