Langham Huntington, Pasadena Appoints Two Key Members to its Executive Committee
July 11, 2012 - The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Collins and Ms. Julie Trieu to key positions within the hotel's Executive Committee. Each brings a compelling amount of hospitality experience to the property, which will continue to elevate the luxury service and authentic offerings at the hotel and further establish The Langham as a leading luxury hotel in the marketplace.
Michael Collins joins The Langham Huntington, Pasadena as Hotel Manager where he will oversee the overall operation of the hotel including rooms and food and beverage management. Collins launched his career in hospitality more than 20 years ago, as a valet parking attendant at The Langham, when it was formerly The Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel. Collins was most recently the Director of Operations for Shutters on the Beach in Los Angeles and previously held various managerial positions at hotels including The Umstead Hotel and Spa in North Carolina, The Palazzo Las Vegas, The Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas and The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. He attended California State University, Northridge where he received a B.A. in Public Relations and Journalism.
Julie Trieu joins the hotel as Director of Quality and Learning, bringing more than 11 years of experience in quality management to The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. In her new role, Trieu will be responsible for developing and implementing quality and training initiatives, focusing on The Langham's core vision and values. Most recently, Trieu occupied the corporate position of Manager of Quality & Learning at Langham Hospitality Group in Hong Kong, on a regional and international level. She also held various quality positions at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey and The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. Trieu attended the California State University, Fullerton, where she received a B.A. in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Management.
